2 Years, 1 500 000 pageviews & counting…
Today, 12th Dec, marks the 2nd Anniversary of this Blog.
Content wise this year was rather slow with less than 75 new posts, but the viewership this year was most successful with as high as 8220 pageviews is a single day. This year I felt that am getting less time to sit and write, with many posts getting buried deep in drafts just for the reason that though the text was ready, the screenshots were not. Needless to say those were the technical posts. It was then that I realized that I need to leave the ‘My Technical Blog’ commitment and come up with some miscellaneous ramblings too to keep myself active on the blog.
What’s new on this anniversary day? Well not much! Just that I am back with a new enthusiasm, and two new links on the sidebar to separate Technical Posts from Miscellaneous ones. To achieve the separation I tagged all posts either with TechPosts or with MiscPosts. Thanks to the ‘Quick Edit’ feature in the New WordPress Dashboard I was able to do this in very less time. And a large number of earliest posts (all were mostly technical) were tagged many at a time using the new ‘Bulk Edit’ feature.

Two posts that were the top viewed ones when I reviewed the Year One now surprisingly stand on 10th and 28th position respectively. Though only 7 posts from above are from year 2, the pageviews for these 7 pages, combined, far exceed those of others combined.
Any suggestions for what to add on this blog in future are most welcome. Thanks for your time reading this post.
Children’s Day
14th of Nov, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru’s birthday is celebrated in India as Children’s Day, for he loved children very much.
Today when I returned from work, my 6 year old son came to me complaining “Papa it’s not fair na?”
“What?”, I asked.
On “Teacher’s Day” it was a holiday in school, but today on “Children’s Day” it was not!!
Where do this young children get ideas from?
Note : 5th September, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday, is celebrated as Teacher’s Day in India. I don’t remember if it was a school holiday or not but my son did 
Randy Pausch Health Update
I was shocked to see term “Randy Pausch Death” on the Google Trends. So was it all over? As per his health updates, it seemed unlikely and thus I searched Google News and found the trends to be for rumours.

I found a very cute page where Randy was taking care of the three kids at Home when his wife was out in Spain. Randy here posted a few pics of there activity that day. Most humorous pic is the one where Randy is with the children holding a newspaper. The pic is titled “The Kids are Still Alive” and description on side says

This is a sample SMS that is delivered to its customers by Vodafone’s (Mumbai, India) marketing department. I wonder if there really are people who use these type of sms services that are far from truth. Say I send JOB SHAHRUKH what job suggestion will return back. ACTOR? Then I think Vodafone is suggesting that everyone who bear name Amitabh, Shahrukh or Aamir are best suited to work as actor. If the returned job suggestions is NOT ACTOR then we should say to our very Shahrukh Khan “Hey you are misfit in what you are doing! Why don’t you try something else”

Takethosepictures.com - Revelations
I was just notified about TakeThosePictures.com .. so another of spam sites coming, I thought and putting the url in address bar opened the site. The site looked like something I had seen before… and yes that indeed looked exactly like and seems to be from the makers for crazypicsonline.com. The way the background image was reduced to grayscale and then blurred and the login section placed in the middle, the borders everything was exactly the same.
Then I looked closely, the pictures in background felt familiar, the pics the text below them… that was a screenshot from images.google.com!!! What an hard work for creating a site
