Tweaking Registry for Windows Media Center

Windows Media Center is an application aimed at the Home segment and catering various entertainment facilities as Television, Radio, Streaming Video and so on. It made its first appearance with Windows XP Media Center Edition. Business houses are unlikely to purchase this edition as it’s name only suggests that it is unsuitable for business purposes. But what about “Windows Vista Ultimate”, it too includes Windows Media Center though this is not apparent from its name.

Tweaking Registry for Start Menu

This post is next to the earlier two posts in “Tweaking Registry” series.

Visibility and functioning of Windows Start Menu can be modified in a large number of ways using the Registry Tweaks. Since the list is a large one with over 50 tweaks, I am producing them in two parts. This part provides information on tweaks that work on Windows 2000 and Onwards (some may also work for versions earlier than win 2000 and not specifically mentioned here. Tweaks added with Windows XP and later will be carried in next part.
