Flash plus more with Microsoft Silverlight

Microsoft recently unveiled Silverlight which they claim would Power the Next Generation of Media Experiences on the Web. It is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in currently available on Windows and Mac platforms and will work on major browsers on these platforms. The plugin installer for Windows is sized 1.1 MB.

With the growth of Internet, user expectations also grew. First it featured plain text on familier blue/black background, later included images, then animations, sounds, movies... I learnt Logo (Turtle Graphics) when I was in class 8th (that was 1987, today children are taught Logo in their primary classes). For those who are not aware of, Logo is an Interpreted language, the turtle graphics of which is considered most apt language for young students to learn. Students can learn to program movement of on-screen turtle drawing basic shapes and fractal pattens.
