Is censorship meant for just Big Screen

with one comment

At least six times within a single hour, for 5 days a week, I am forced to switch channels in order to avoid seeing a trailer for a to-be-aired TV serial ‘Na Aana Iss Des Lado’ on Colors TV. The trailer shows a group of people taking a new born girl child and drowning her in a pool of milk. A man screams aloud ‘Next year give me a son’.

Many people are talking around how Ghajini movie got ‘U/A’ certificate by censor board for such a gory content. Undoubtedly this serial moves around a real problem, and there is no bloodshed, but isn’t this trailer gory too? My question is ‘Is censorship meant just for Big Screen’. Is this trailer safe for viewing by children? Who will force it out?
