✈ ▌▌- Why would someone search the unsearchable
Why would someone search for something that cannot be searched? No it's not a tongue twister. I just happened to see in Google trends these special characters.
✈ ▌▌
These characters depict an aeroplane hitting hitting the twin towers. A good piece of artistic thinking. Now google trends shows those search queries that were most searched for on that day, and searching for these characters should have shown web pages containing them. So I tried doing that in Google and got absolutely no results. May be the pages are still not indexed, I though and searched ahead in Google blogsearch and voila I got not one or two but millions of matching records (precisely 441,095,659) but on visiting those page didn't find the characters anywhere! So, What were the search results... Apparently the characters are from a unicode subrange that Google is still unable to handle in its searches. On checking the google trends for that particular term another related term that came out was 'fbi jobs'!
So we still are left at thinking what were people searching those characters for?

I read an article that said it was the 4-chan guys again. They did something similar a while back where they got a swastika to be in the top of google trends.

Maybe some kids mistakenly key in to google search and press enter… or some SEO guys try things out there.
