Randy Pausch Health Update

with 35 comments

I was shocked to see term “Randy Pausch Death” on the Google Trends. So was it all over? As per his health updates, it seemed unlikely and thus I searched Google News and found the trends to be for rumours.

Those who wish to get the latest updates please access his Health Update Page instead of searching on Google.

I found a very cute page where Randy was taking care of the three kids at Home when his wife was out in Spain. Randy here posted a few pics of there activity that day. Most humorous pic is the one where Randy is with the children holding a newspaper. The pic is titled “The Kids are Still Alive” and description on side says

Any hostage taker worth his salt knows you need to send a photo with today’s newspaper to prove the hostages are still alive.

  9. I came back from vacation to hear that Randy has died. He touched me with his courage and sense of humor. Heaven has certainly recieved a wonderful person who will continue to inspire all from there. I have given his book out to many as gifts however I will cherish my copy and reread it often. Albeit sad, his life will leave us remembering Tigger with a smile. We all need to go out and be Tiggers not Eyores.

  11. You are probably wondering why God would be so cruel and take a wonderful man, father, teacher, husband, brother, son. Well, did Randy make an impact in your life? Do you see life and death differently? Did you get hope through his Last Lecture? Then God did his job. He used Randy to make us see His Glory. God didn’t take him to be mean and cruel, but to give us hope and faith in His works. Randy realized this and was eager to get on the band wagon. He will be remembered for his words as he was dying. I only hope my life could make such an impact for others. probably not, but at least I know God has many wonderful things in store for those who believe and continue to have faith. Jai and the kids will be ok as they had Randy to learn from. Jai is a strong woman who had the great gift of being married to Randy. May we all be blessed and treat each other the way God intended us to.

  12. Dear Jai And Children

I just want to tell you my prayers are with you during this very difficult time. I know that you know that Randy did not want you to be sad but that will be a part of the grieving process. Randy was an awesome human being, son, husband, father and teacher and that part of him will live on forever!

While I know the Last Lecture was for your children I can’t tell you how much it changed my life and the lives of my co-workers after we all watched it. I am the mother of a special needs child and somedays were tough to get through but not anymore because he said it all when he said “it’s all about what you make of your life”. I am a strong person but still would sometimes feel sorry for my son Cody or even myself, but not anymore, thanks to your amazing husband Randy.

I have been praying for Randy and his family and will continue to do so. God will keep you strong and guide you in the right direction.

Give each of those beautiful children and hug and kiss for me.

    God Bless You,
    Cindy B.

  13. My prayers are sent to you Jai, Randy’s mom and sister, and of course your children. Few people in life make a significant impact on thousand’s upon thousands of people, like Randy did with his positive, upbeat, winner attitude that he shared with the world via his book and lecture on the web. Randy found the rays of sunshine in a silver cloud, he fought he goof fight like “Don Quixote – the Man of LaMancha. I know that Randy’s work will continue to impact people for many years to come. GOD Bless you Jai, your three childern and Randy’s family. True success has been defined as “the number of people who are better off in the world, because you have lived.”Randy Pausch was a true success, for accomplishing his childhood dreams and making the world a better place.
