3rd World Sudoku Championship 2008 starts today

Results (Update 17/Apr/2008 3.30AM IST): While the official site is yet to announce the results more than 10 hours after the scheduled closure of the tournament, we managed to get a glimpse of final result thanks to TimeOnline UK that published just 15 minutes ago. Thomas Snyder, of the United States won the championship for the second year running and the team competition was won by the Czech Republic. Original News here

The 3rd World Sudoku Championship 2008 held at Holiday Inn, Goa, India starts today with arrival of the competitors the whole day. Competitors from 30 countries will participate in this competition.

The first round of competition will begin tomorrow 15th April and the final results are expected to be declared on 16th April Evening.

From India Ritesh Gupta, Himani Shah, Rajesh Kumar and Sumit Bothra will fight for the title and Jaipal Reddy Mogiligundl, Gaurav Korde and Omkar Hendre would participate as Guest Competitors.
