WordPress.com Blogs can now be Heard too!
Noticed almost a week late but better late than never, WordPress.com Blogs can now be Heard too! Yes WordPress now allows you to play audio files hosted elsewhere using a flash based player. Read more about it at Songs and Movies on WordPress.com
All you need to do is to add code similar to that below
[audio http://wpcom.files.wordpress.com/2007/01/mattmullenweg-interview.mp3]
and you get a player that initially looks as that below
Want to hear that! Press the Play icon and the player expands playing the audio file.

The next new addition to wordpress.com is the increase in the free storage space from 50MB to 3GB! So without worrying about space exhausting you can add as many Images, Docs, Presentations as you like. Did I miss something? MP3, MPG…. No I didn’t! the free 3GB space doesnot allow you to upload these file extensions but you can upgrade by paying $20 to get extra 5GB space and freedom to upload audio and video files.
So it’s time that your reader hear, not just read.
