Don't Mess With Google : John Chow Experience

with 3 comments

Search for words John Chow and if you expected John Chow’s blog (johnchow.com) to come on the top then you are wrong as he, though used to be there, has been punished by Google and thus finds place at 50+ position.

John Chow, the self proclaimed “Dot Com Mogul” had started a campaign a few months back where he offered a link from his PR6 site to a blog which posts a review post linking him with “Make Money Online” as link text. He had targeted his blog for top position for above keywords but has lead to a position lower than he could have ever expected.

Google is not the first one to take action against John Chow. One of my previous post Get into Technorati Top 100 in 24 Hours had a link to one of John Chow’s post where he described How he got Banned and Unbanned by Technorati. It was for this reason that he was always kept out of the Technorati Top 100 list despite blogs with lower rank getting position there.

Moral from John Chow Experience :
Eat Changaa, Drink Changaa, Google Se Naa Lenaa Pangaa
(Translation : Eat good, Drink Good, Don’t Mess With Google)

    बहुत बढ़िया नारा बनाया आपने, सचमुच संभल कर रहना पड़ेगा, गूगल से :)

  2. [...] While going through David Airey’s blog the first post I got to read was Google crackdown: DavidAirey.com hit with search rank penalty. David just a couple of weeks after declaring this competition observed a fall in traffic from Google and position dropping from Search Results. He fears it to be penalization from Google either for posting paid advertisements or for holding this competition. Exact reason is not known as Google gives no warning/penalization message to webmasters. Incidentally John Chow too faced a similar penalization. [...]
