Normally Google requires to call javascript code, in absence of which I tried using third party site (.asp code, called usign IMG tag considering page to be an image) to do whatever javascript did and in turn call google's image (invisible) that is used to record data. Google Analytics did show the counts of page (which we were anyways getting from wordpress.com dashboard) but other reports didn't come up as expected...
