CSS Design – Cross browser compatibility
http://www.sndbx.org has declared a Design Contest for Sandbox theme. If you are unaware of what Sandbox is, then it is a WordPress theme that renders the page as bare text wit no formatting as visible to a casual user, but with a well defined markup which a person with knowledge of CSS can exploit to give the page best looks. This blog, //engtech’s, Lorelle’s and a lot of other blogs on wordpress.com use Sandbox for custom designs.

Domain Name Change Side-effect – It’s Happening
I moved to jalaj.net on 24th May and am eagerly waiting to see how the blog makes transition in terms of Google PageRank. And the results are visible now in terms of side-effects and the visitors to the blog maximum of whom reached here through Google and other search engines have dropped beyond imagination. The keywords where blog made to top-10 results don’t show anymore near the top.

Which Hindi / Devnagari Unicode font is installed on the system?
When you view a Hindi page the characters show up in one of the fonts installed on the system. If you have “Mangal” font installed that came bundled with your Operating system you see the page in that font. The same applies when you don’t have any Hindi Unicode font other than “Arial Unicode MS” font or “Raghu” font that came with your MS Office or you downloaded freely from the net respectively. How come the Browsers know which Language font is installed on your system?
