Logo – Turtle Graphics!?
I learnt Logo (Turtle Graphics) when I was in class 8th (that was 1987, today children are taught Logo in their primary classes). For those who are not aware of, Logo is an Interpreted language, the turtle graphics of which is considered most apt language for young students to learn. Students can learn to program movement of on-screen turtle drawing basic shapes and fractal pattens.

Custom CSS Design
Today I could no longer suppress my temptation for going for the Custom CSS upgrade… and now my blog features a pre-mature release of the new design. There are a lot of modifications still to be done, but that I will take later.

Latex on WordPress : A Primer
Yesterday I came across a post Math for the Masses on WordPress.com, announcing the avaibility of Latex on WordPress.com . I should learn it, I thought, and started searching for good tutorials to get me started. I got good ones, particularly Short Math Guide for Latex by Michael Downes, that helped me to start. However all sources were not relevant for Latex as implemented on WordPress.com, (i.e. most of codes on beginning pages did not work on WordPress.com). I searched hard to find a tutorial that could start from start, and couldn’t. Now that I have started learning successfully, I though if I could fill this gap.

What is JSON?
I appreciate Google for one thing that after it starts using new technologies, people, like me, get to know and start to learn about it. When I got my first account with gmail, I could not stop praising how JavaScript was used there in its best way. Earlier JavaScript was mostly seen being utilized for frills as mouse trails etc or for validation of form data. Google showed to the world the power of JavaScript. I am not just talking about the AJAX, but also about how the whole interface was designed allowing hot keys and other features driven by JavaScript.

How’s Hindi Transliteration in Blogger
I have been using transliteration for over 10 years and it’s the only way I can type in Hindi language, for I hate learning another keyboard layout. Now that Google recently added transliteration facility to blogger, Let’s see where does Google’s implementation stand in comparison to others.

Google adds Hindi Transliteration
That’s a great new for all those who work with Indian language fonts. There are many blogs which are in Hindi and most of their maintainers might be having hard times with the offline softwares they use… but at least these softwares cannot accompany you every where… you loose them and you loose continuity (I had my own hindi blog at http://hindijokes.blogspot.com/ and I used Baraha for posting content on it… Now that I cannot carry Baraha everywhere the blogs finds no updation)…
