Shusha font to Unicode Conversion

Filed under: Indian Languages — Jalaj @ 4:21 am

To convert text written using Shusha font into Unicode text try using the online conversion utility developed under my project Ashirwad. The url for it is

http://www.nagars.info/ashirwad/

The utility can also convert text written using Baraha font (Change using the drop down list on the page).

  2. Hi Dinesh,

I am afraid, you want to know the algorithm/ source for the application in caption.

The application is still not complete (Initial aim was to make it work for any of the Hindi fonts, not only Shusha).

If I ever decided to release the application source you will find a link for it on this blog.

  3. जलिज जी,

I found your website quite useful. I would recommend releasing the source code under an open license (like the GPL) so that it could be extended to other Hindi fonts as well.

    धन्यवाद,

  4. I am working on a web application in which a form with a text field and a button is displayed. I type my name in the text field and press the submit button. When I press the submit button the UNICODE values of my name should be displayed. I want to convert text to UNICODE equivalent using Java. Please give me a solution. Thanking you in anticipation.
